Assisted Account Access Recovery (AAAR)

You can use the AAAR process to recover access to your account in any of the following situations:

  • You can't recover or reset your account password because you've lost access to your account’s primary email address.
  • You need to access your domain name (registered under your name or business) that is currently managed under someone else's account to which you don’t have access.

 

Who can request for Account Access Recovery

Anyone can contact us to recover an account. However, the request letter and requirements must come from the following authorized requesters.

Primary requester

  • The Account Holder – If the account is under an individual’s name
  • The Business Owner – If the account name is a business name

Secondary requester (for deceased primary requester)

  • The legal spouse of the deceased
  • An immediate family member (if the deceased was unmarried)

 

How to request for an Account Access Recovery

  1. Secure the requirements based on the category you fall into — Personal or Business:
     

    Personal

    If the account name exactly matches your name or if you are the registrant of the domain name you want to access, provide the following requirements:

    • A signed request letter using the AAAR Template for Personal Accounts. Download the template here.
         
    • A clear copy of your valid ID (e.g., Driver's license or Passport).

     

    Business

    If you are the business owner listed as the account holder or registrant of the domain name you’re trying to access, provide the following requirements:

    • A signed request letter on business letterhead (that matches the business name associated with the account) using the AAAR Template for Business Accounts. Download the template here.
       

      NOTE. The business letterhead is no longer required for a Sole Traders.

       
    • A clear copy of your valid ID (e.g., Driver's license or Passport).
    • A copy of the Business Document that shows your name as the owner of the business that is associated with the account (e.g., Company Extract from ASIC for businesses in Australia, Bizfile from ACRA for businesses in Singapore).

  2. Send the requirements to our Customer Care team using our Online Contact form.
     
    • Select SUPPORT for the Department
    • Select BILLING for the Category
    • Put your name, domain or customer ID
    • Use your working email and contact number
    • Put Account Access Recovery on the Subject
    • Attach the requirements

     
  3. Wait for our Customer Care Specialist to get back to you regarding your request within 48 hours.
     

 

Frequently Asked Questions

If the Primary Requester has passed away, a Secondary Requester may act on their behalf.

Who is the Primary Requester:

  • The Account Holder – If the account is under an individual’s name
  • The Business Owner – If the account name is a business name

Who is the Secondary Requester?

  • The legal spouse of the deceased
  • An immediate family member (if the deceased was unmarried)

 

As a Secondary Requester, you must provide the following requirements:
 
If the account or domain registrant’s name belongs to the deceased requester:

  • A signed request letter using the AAAR Template for Personal Accounts. Download the template here.
       
  • A clear copy of your valid ID (e.g., Driver’s License or Passport).
  • A copy of the Primary requester’s death certificate, which must confirm your relationship as the spouse or immediate family member.

 
 
If the account or domain registrant’s name is a business owned by the deceased:

  • A signed request letter on business letterhead (matching the business name associated with the account) using the AAAR Template for Business Accounts. Download the template here.
     

    NOTE. If the business is a Sole Trader, a business letterhead is not required.

     
  • A clear copy of your valid ID (e.g., Driver’s License or Passport).
  • A copy of the business owner’s death certificate, confirming your relationship as the spouse or immediate family member.
  • A copy of the official business document showing the deceased as the business owner (e.g., Company Extract from ASIC for businesses in Australia or Bizfile from ACRA for businesses in Singapore).

  1. Send the required documents to our Customer Care team via our Online Contact Form with the following details:
     
    • Select SUPPORT for the Department

    • Put your name, domain or customer ID
    • Use your working email and contact number
    • Put Account Access Recovery on the Subject
    • Attach the requirements

     
  2. Wait for our Customer Care Specialist to get back to you regarding your request within 48 hours.

 

  • This request will undergo multiple levels of security validation.
  • Our team may request additional identity authentication through Nametag Verification.
  • Depending on the scenario and the rights of the requester, access may be granted only for specific domain names, which may need to be transferred to a new account.
  • Considering that this process is so sensitive, we reserve the right to decline a request or change the requirements without further explanation for security purposes.

 

Anyone can contact us regarding account recovery. However, the request letter and required documents must come from the primary or secondary requesters mentioned in this article.
