How To Lock and Unlock Your Domain Name

A Domain Lock or Registrar Lock prevents unauthorised third parties from transferring your domain to another Registrar.

Crazy Domains provides this feature to give Domain Names extra protection from unsolicited transfers. However, if you actually decide to transfer your Domain Name or access some maintenance functions, you will be required to Unlock it first.

You can manage the Domain Lock status of your Domain Name through your Account Manager. Lock/Unlock your domain using the steps below:

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. In the Dashboard, locate the domain name that you want to access.

  3. Now, click MANAGE in the applicable Domain Registration row.

NOTE. Your products are grouped by domain name. Make sure to locate the specific domain that you want to manage.

    IMPORTANT

  4. Click the drop-down to open Domain Lock options.

  5. Click the button to lock or unlock.
    • On – This option locks the domain in Crazy Domains and the domain can’t be transferred.
    • Off – This option unlocks the domain.
  6. Click Update.
