How To Reset My WordPress Password in Plesk

If your WordPress website is hosted in your Windows Hosting product, and you can no longer access the /wp-admin.php page to manage your website, you will need to reset your password or assign new login credentials by doing any of the following:

 

Reset Password via WordPress Login Page

To reset your password directly from the WordPress login page, follow the steps below:

  1. Enter YourDomainName/wp-admin on your browser.
  2. Click on the Lost your password? link at the bottom.
  3. Enter your Username or the Email Address connected to your WordPress account in the field provided. Then, click Get New Password.
  4. Enter your New Password. Then, re-type your password to confirm, and click on the Reset Password option.
 

Reset Password via WordPress Management in Plesk

To reset your password through the WordPress management page in Plesk, follow the steps below:

  1. Access your Hosting Manager.
  2. Click WordPress from the left-side menu.
  3. Click on the Name of the website that you want to manage.
  4. Under Access Info, click on the change login settings link.
  5. The details beside Administrator is your username.
  6. Click Show beside Current password to view it and click the change link beside it to continue with password reset.
  7. Add a New password and re-enter it to Confirm password.
  8. Click OK to save.
 

Reset Password via phpMyAdmin in Plesk

To reset your password through your Plesk's phpMyAdmin, follow the steps below:

  1. Access your Hosting Manager.
  2. Click Databases from the left-side menu.
  3. Click the phpMyAdmin icon under the database that is connected to your WordPress website.
  4. From the Table column, click on the name that has the suffix _users from the list.
  5. Look for the user whose password you need to change, then click on its corresponding Edit link.
  6. On the user_pass row, select MD5 from the drop-down menu under Function.
  7. Under the Value column of the user_pass row, delete the current password and enter a new password.
  8. Click Go at the bottom of the page.
 

NOTE: Among the 3 methods above, you can only change your username via phpMyAdmin in Plesk. You can do this by editing the Value column of the user_nicename row to the new username that you want.
