Manage Your Crazy Domains SSL Certificate

This article explains how to access, download, and install your SSL certificate purchased from Crazy Domains. It outlines what actions you need to take based on where your website is hosted.

Access and download your SSL certificate

You may need to access your SSL certificate if your website is hosted outside Crazy Domains or if you want to keep a copy for reference or backup.

To access and download your SSL certificate, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Crazy Domains Account.
  2. Locate your SSL Certificate product and click on MANAGE. This will open the SSL Certificate Product Manager
  3. Hover your mouse over the 3-dot icon and click Download Certificate

What is in my SSL Certificate file

When you download the SSL Certificate file from your Crazy Domains account, you'll see a compressed (zip) file containing the following:

  • The main SSL Certificate:
    • Your SSL certificate - (yourdomain_com.crt)

  • The CA chain certificates
    • Root CA Certificate - USERTrustRSACertificationAuthority.crt
    • Intermediate CA Certificate - SectigoPublicServerAuthenticationRootR46_USERTrust.crt
    • Intermediate CA Certificate – SectigoPublicServerAuthenticationCADVR36.crt

Install your SSL certificate

The installation process depends on where your website is hosted.

  • If your website is hosted with Crazy Domains, your SSL certificate will be installed on your hosting account after it is issued. No manual action is required.
  • If your website is hosted with another provider, you need to install the SSL certificate on that hosting environment. Contact your hosting provider for instructions on how to upload and configure the certificate.
  • If you are using a VPS or dedicated server, you are responsible for installing the SSL certificate on your server. To proceed, follow the guide that matches your control panel below:

Ensure that all required certificate components are correctly configured during installation to avoid SSL-related issues.
