Manage DNS Records in Account Manager

In this guide, we will explain how you can manage the DNS records of your domain name using the DNS editor in your Account Manager.

How to Manage the DNS Records

To add, modify, or delete DNS records in Account Manager, follow these steps:

  1. Access the Account Manager DNS Editor.
  2. Select the specific record that you want to manage and perform the necessary steps:
  3. Ensure the domain name is connected to the following set of name servers appropriately:
    If the domain name is registered through Crazy Domains
    (without Premium DNS)
    • ns1.crazydomains.com
    • ns2.crazydomains.com
    If the domain name has Premium DNS
    • ns1.dnspackage.com
    • ns2.dnspackage.com
  4. Wait for the DNS change to fully resolve on the internet.
 
 

A Record

Add an A Record

  1. In the DNS Settings section, click the hamburger symbol, and then click Add Record.
  2. Select A Record from the dropdown list, and then click the Add button.
  3. Enter the necessary A Record value in the boxes provided, and then click Update to save the changes.

Modify an A Record

  1. Hover over the existing A Record that you want to modify.
  2. Now, click Modify from the right section.
  3. Update the A Record value, and then click Update to save the changes.

Delete an A Record

  1. Hover over the existing A Record that you want to delete, and then click Modify from the right section.
  2. Click Delete in the right section of the record.
  3. Now, click Update to save the changes.
 
 

AAAA Record

Add an AAAA Record

  1. In the DNS Settings section, click the hamburger symbol, and then click Add Record.
  2. Select AAAA Record from the dropdown list, and then click the Add button.
  3. Enter the necessary AAAA Record value in the boxes provided, and then click Update to save the changes.

Modify an AAAA Record

  1. Hover over the existing AAAA Record that you want to modify.
  2. Now, click Modify from the right section.
  3. Update the AAAA Record value, and then click Update to save the changes.

Delete an AAAA Record

  1. Hover over the existing AAAA Record that you want to delete, and then click Modify from the right section.
  2. Click Delete in the right section of the record.
  3. Now, click Update to save the changes.
 
 

CNAME Record

Add a CNAME Record

  1. In the DNS Settings section, click the hamburger symbol, and then click Add Record.
  2. Select CNAME Record from the dropdown list, and then click the Add button.
  3. Enter the necessary CNAME Record value in the boxes provided, and then click Update to save the changes.

Modify a CNAME Record

  1. Hover over the existing CNAME Record that you want to modify.
  2. Now, click Modify from the right section.
  3. Update the CNAME Record value, and then click Update to save the changes.

Delete a CNAME Record

  1. Hover over the existing CNAME Record that you want to delete, and then click Modify from the right section.
  2. Click Delete in the right section of the record.
  3. Now, click Update to save the changes.
 
 

MX Record

Add an MX Record

  1. In the DNS Settings section, click the hamburger symbol, and then click Add Record.
  2. Select MX Record from the dropdown list, and then click the Add button.
  3. Enter the necessary MX Record value in the boxes provided, and then click Update to save the changes.

Modify an MX Record

  1. Hover over the existing MX Record that you want to modify.
  2. Now, click Modify from the right section.
  3. Update the MX Record value, and then click Update to save the changes.

Delete an MX Record

  1. Hover over the existing MX Record that you want to delete, and then click Modify from the right section.
  2. Click Delete in the right section of the record.
  3. Now, click Update to save the changes.
 
 

TXT Record

Add a TXT Record

  1. In the DNS Settings section, click the hamburger symbol, and then click Add Record.
  2. Select TXT Record from the dropdown list, and then click the Add button.
  3. Enter the necessary TXT Record value in the boxes provided, and then click Update to save the changes.

Modify a TXT Record

  1. Hover over the existing TXT Record that you want to modify.
  2. Now, click Modify from the right section.
  3. Update the TXT Record value, and then click Update to save the changes.

Delete a TXT Record

  1. Hover over the existing TXT Record that you want to delete, and then click Modify from the right section.
  2. Click Delete in the right section of the record.
  3. Now, click Update to save the changes.
 
 

SRV Record (only available for Premium DNS)

Add an SRV Record

  1. In the DNS Settings section, click the hamburger symbol, and then click Add Record.
  2. Select SRV Record from the dropdown list, and then click the Add button.
  3. Enter the necessary SRV Record value in the boxes provided, and then click Update to save the changes.

Modify an SRV Record

  1. Hover over the existing SRV Record that you want to modify.
  2. Now, click Modify from the right section.
  3. Update the SRV Record value, and then click Update to save the changes.

Delete an SRV Record

  1. Hover over the existing SRV Record that you want to delete, and then click Modify from the right section.
  2. Click Delete in the right section of the record.
  3. Now, click Update to save the changes.
 
 

CAA Record

Add a CAA Record

  1. In the DNS Settings section, click the hamburger symbol, and then click Add Record.
  2. Select CAA Record from the dropdown list, and then click the Add button.
  3. Enter the necessary CAA Record value in the boxes provided, and then click Update to save the changes.

Modify a CAA Record

  1. Hover over the existing CAA Record that you want to modify.
  2. Now, click Modify from the right section.
  3. Update the CAA Record value, and then click Update to save the changes.

Delete a CAA Record

  1. Hover over the existing CAA Record that you want to delete, and then click Modify from the right section.
  2. Click Delete in the right section of the record.
  3. Now, click Update to save the changes.
