Connect a Domain to Your WordPress Hosting Website

Whether your domain is registered here or elsewhere, this guide will help you connect a domain to your WordPress Hosting website. Follow the steps carefully.

Step 1: Get your WordPress site IP address.

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. On your Dashboard, locate and click WordPress Hosting or WooCommerce Online Store at the bottom of the domain tiles.
  3. Locate the site tile and click MANAGE.
  4. On the next page, select the Live Site tab.
  5. Click LOG INTO CPANEL.
  6. On your cPanel, look for the Shared IP Address on the right sidebar and copy the IP Address.

Step 2: Find your DNS settings.

  1. Access your domain name in your Account Manager and check the current name servers connected to it.
  2. Refer to the table below to know where you can add the A records of your domain.

Step 3: Add Your WordPress' IP address to your domain.

Select the location of your DNS settings below to know the exact instructions.

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. In the Dashboard, click the domain name you want to manage.
  3. On the domain name page, scroll down to the DNS Settings section.
  4. In the DNS Settings, click the menu button, and select Add Record.
  5. Select A Record from the dropdown menu, and then click Add.
  6. Leave the Sub Domain field empty.
  7. Enter the IP address of your WordPress site in the IP Address field.

  8. Click Update to save the changes.
  9. Add another A Record.
  10. On the Sub Domain field, enter www.
  11. Enter the IP address of your WordPress site on the IP Address field.

  12. Click Update and wait for the changes to take effect.

The following instructions are generic. If you're having a hard time following it, please contact your Name Server provider for assistance.

  1. Log in to your DNS provider's portal and find the DNS settings.
  2. Add the following A records to your primary domain (yourdomain.tld) and the www:
    Host/Name/Alias Record Type IP Address
    (yourdomain.tld) A (cPanel IP address) ex. 1.23.4.5
    www.(yourdomain.tld) A (cPanel IP address) ex. 1.23.4.5
  3. Save your new DNS settings and wait for them to fully work.

Step 4: Set your domain to Primary.

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. In your Dashboard, locate and click WordPress Hosting or WooCommerce Online Store.
  3. Locate the Site that you want to manage and click MANAGE.
  4. Click the Domains tab.
  5. On the right side of the domain name that you want to set as primary, click the flag icon, and wait for the set up to complete.

    NOTE:
    If you can't find the domain name, click the ADD DOMAIN button to add it.

HELP!

Problem: I can't find the flag icon.

Solution: The flag icon will only appear once you have set up the correct DNS to your domain. See Step 3. Wait until the new DNS is fully working. Remember, new DNS settings will take up to 24 hours to fully work.
